Montecatini’s 12-bed residential treatment program treats young-adult and adult women, ages 16-55, in a beautiful California style home along the world-class La Costa Resort golf course and provides around the clock nursing 7 days a week. Our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are located within walking distance of our residential program and provide treatment Monday through Friday including weekly ANAD meetings. For those patients who live out of town, we offer transitional housing, located close by, and includes free program transportation.
Our programs specialize in traditional eating disorders with a strong support for co-occurring diagnoses. We are unique in our continuity of care keeping our patients with the same clinical team through their entire journey of healing with us.
Our highly skilled staff offers compassionate and individualized care through a variety of treatments including numerous weekly individualized sessions with clinical, nutritional, and medical staff members, group therapy, and a treatment team approach. Our multidisciplinary team utilizes an array of integrative modalities proven effective to address the physiological, psychological, nutritional, and interpersonal deficits inherent in those who suffer from eating disorders. Our goal at Montecatini is to provide a beautiful, safe, and nurturing environment with highly trained and supportive staff to help patients navigate the recovery process. We believe that healing is possible and hope is manifested daily, as we work together in support of our patients’ long-term recovery goals.
At Montecatini, we believe in treating the mind, body, and spirit. Our holistic approach to treatment addresses the complexity of the disorder by utilizing several different treatment modalities. We understand each individual is unique and because Montecatini is a small facility, we are able to design a detailed and customized treatment plan which incorporates specific program components for every patient. We strive to provide a life-changing, positive experience for all our patients
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):
Montecatini’s Partial Hospitalization Program is designed as a step-down option for patients in residential treatment and those who are unable to sustain their recovery efforts in lower levels of care. Our program offers a multidisciplinary treatment approach to help patients navigate their personal recovery process. Our objective is to restore each patient to their optimal level of functioning so they can lead empowered, healthy lives. Our PHP is offered Monday through Friday and includes supervised meals and snacks as well as weekly sessions with our Primary Therapist, Dietician, and Psychiatrist. An individual schedule is tailored for each patient following a clinical assessment. The success of our program is a culmination of respectful collaborative approach to treatment and our dynamic clinical team inclusive of staff who have successfully recovered from their own eating disorders and other addictions.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):
Montecatini’s Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to address the unique challenges that contribute to disordered eating. Through various group modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, patients will learn tools to strengthen their recovery foundation and receive support as they implement these skills into their daily lives. Our IOP meets four hours per day, three to five days per week. We understand the additional stress of adjusting your daily routine so Montecatini offers flexible hours to accommodate work, school, and family obligations. We consider treatment to be a collaborative effort with active involvement of the patient’s outpatient therapeutic providers and family members. Our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment where patients can learn, practice and enhance the skills necessary for recovery. Our overall mission is to help our patients live lives that are not only functional but joyful as well.
