Montecatini is Southern California’s leading provider of comprehensive eating disorder treatment services for females ages 16-55. Over the last 25 years, we have helped women and teens in our community address the physical, mental, and emotional impact of disordered eating.
With our support, you can gain control of your symptoms and look forward to a healthy future that is free from the effects of:
- Binge-eating disorder
- Body dysmorphia
- Co-occurring concerns
Our Carlsbad, California location offers a scenic, tranquil, and private setting for healing.
Our services include several types of programming to suit your needs. We recognize the strength and bravery it takes to seek eating disorder treatment, and we welcome you to explore all four options for care.
The residential treatment program at Montecatini provides 24/7 supervision and support and allows you to escape the pressures of daily life while focusing on your treatment.
From there, you may benefit from engaging in our partial hospitalization program (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP).
These programs offer a blend of supervision, support, and autonomy, with participants returning to their homes or another safe residence during the evenings.
We also look forward to finding ways to support healing within the family unit. Loved ones can be a critical aspect of sustained recovery, and our family therapy provides opportunities to heal together with the support of an expert clinician.
Family members are invited to participate in our Friends and Family Support Group, which is open to anyone who has a loved one who is struggling with an eating disorder.
Often, symptoms of an eating disorder will occur alongside symptoms of other mental health concerns.
Known as a co-occurring disorder, conditions like depression, anxiety, or substance abuse appear in women and teens who also struggle with disordered eating.
At Montecatini, we operate under a holistic approach to healing that takes into account all aspects of a person’s mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We will ensure that you have access to the treatment modalities you need in order to address all of your presenting concerns during your time with us.
From the moment you first contact our center, we will take the time to thoroughly assess your unique strengths and challenges as they relate to recovery, and will then shape an individualized treatment plan just for you. We’ll collaborate with you to devise a plan of care that will evolve as you gain strength and make progress in recovery.
Throughout your time at Montecatini, we will be working on a plan for discharge that will set you up for success after you leave our center. When it’s time for you to return home, you’ll do so armed with a clear understanding of your treatment team’s recommendations for ongoing support.
As a Montecatini alumnus, you will also have access to our continuing care programs to foster continued success in your recovery.
These programs are based on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and the 12-Step philosophy.
Both of our continuing care programs take place at a location about 10 minutes away from our residential treatment center.
