Eating Disorder Help for TCU

TCU Banner 2

Texas Christian University (TCU) proudly promotes eating disorder recovery and body positivity.

TCU’s Feed Your Body and Soul Week 2016 is being held from March 14th to 18th. This week will include engaging and informative events on intuitive eating and body image. More information coming soon!

team-386673_1280The Body Project was recently launched on the TCU campus, designed for students to voice their body image concerns and celebrate body positivity.

This initiative includes workshops and community outreach. Though eating disorders and distorted body image can affect both men and women, The Body Project is currently offered for female students only. Contact Amanda Swartz, Psy.D., at [email protected] for more information.

The Counseling and Mental Health Center on campus sees clients with eating disorders for regular appointments if the behaviors have been caught early or if the student has already gone to treatment and needs support returning to campus. Most cases of active eating disorders are referred to outside specialists following an initial assessment.
