Eating Disorder Treatment Provider Articles

  • Communication tactics have rapidly evolved and developed in our digital age.  Upholding professional standards when communicating with patients, clients, and colleagues is essential to building rapport in the eating disorder community.  Learn more about how to maintain professional standards when communicating digitally in this article.
  • A good therapist is emotionally engaging and empathetic towards their clients. However, allowing one’s self to be this open and connected can have a draining effect on the Eating Disorder Treatment Professional. I have been in the field of Occupational Therapy for the past25 years focusing on Sensory Processing Disorder. In the last 5 five years, I have become a LPC and LMFT specializing in EMDR. My focus is on trauma, OCD, eating disorders, anxiety/depression, addiction and other difficult diagnoses. I would be interested in learning more about your facility and what is offered and focused on. I would also be interested in learning more about your counselors, nutritionist, Psychiatrist….. Would love to connect and learn more. Thank you, Kathy
