Nikki DuBose

Nikki Dubose headshot Nikki DuBose is a former model, host, and actress who has recently turned her career focus towards writing, public speaking, and mental health advocacy. She is a passionate dynamic voice in the mental health field and seeks to encourage others to develop a strong sense of their intrinsic value and self-worth.

Nikki grew up in charming Charleston, South Carolina and lives in Los Angeles. After traveling the globe and working as a fashion model and commercial actress in exciting destinations such as the Middle East, Paris, Barcelona, and London, she was inspired to leave the industry to pursue writing full time. Her writing is focused on encouraging others to overcome the deadly grip of mental health issues that affect millions. She draws firsthand experience from a long-standing battle with eating disorders, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, drug and alcohol addictions, and a wide range of mental health issues.

Her memoir is set-to-be released this year and recounts her life struggles and ultimate triumph over the mental disorders and addictions that plagued her for most of her life. She has been published multiple times within The National Eating Disorders Association for her hope, strength, and community outreach initiatives. She continues to advocate for NEDA, writes for the association and other incredible establishments such as Eating Disorder Hope and Recovery Warriors. She has been able to connect with people around the world through her website and speaks and assists with other organizations covering various mental health issues, body image and self-esteem.

Currently she serves on the executive board of Project Heal SoCal Chapter and on the board of directors of Peaceful Hearts Foundation, which seeks to educate, support and empower sufferers and the public about child sexual abuse. In addition to her writing and advocacy, Nikki is pursuing her degree in Psychology.

 

Kirsten Haglund

Kirsten Haglund HeadshotKirsten Haglund served as Miss America in 2008 and now is proud to be the Community Relations Specialist for Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center and an “Ambassador” for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). As a television personality and commentator, she appears frequently on Fox News Channel, HLN, Fox Business Network, and Huff Post Live to comment on women’s health issues, celebrity culture, social issues, women’s empowerment and the millennial generation. She is an international speaker on women’s health and civic engagement, and has blogs featured regularly in industry journals, the Huffington Post and Forbes.com. She is also the Founder and President of the Kirsten Haglund Foundation, which raises funds to provide treatment scholarships for families seeking recovery and freedom from disordered eating. Kirsten graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in Political Science and is currently based in New York City.
 
 

Dr. Gregory Jantz

He is also a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and Psychology Today blogs. Dr. Jantz is a sought after speaker, appearing internationally. Dr. Jantz founded The Center • A Place of HOPE to help people transform their lives.

 

Amy Klimek Stansbury, MA, LPC

Amy Klimek HeadshotAmy Klimek Stansbury is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. As Director of Program Development and Eating Disorder Program Coordinator, Amy oversees the operation of the clinical group programming and eating disorder group program. An important aspect of Amy’s role is coordinating interdepartmentally with other team members to support the holistic experience for each individual seeking treatment. She supports the individualized healing process through the building of present moment experiences during the transitions for residents who struggled with eating disorders and body image related to eating disorders, trauma, and self-injury. Amy’s work supports individuals to move towards acceptance in their journey of healing and recovery.

Amy has worked extensively with adult women and adolescent girls throughout the last six years with Timberline Knolls. Amy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of Illinois. She was awarded a Master’s Degree in Counseling specializing in both community and school counseling from Lewis University.

Amy is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and is currently working toward her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.

 

Meghan Tomasek, LPC, DBT Program Coordinator

Meghan oversees the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program. This involves supervising the DBT Specialists, providing education and training for TK staff and facilitating DBT groups for residents.
She joined Timberline Knolls in February, 2009, as a behavior health specialist. In this capacity, she provided in-the-moment skills coaching and application of DBT skills for adolescent residents.

Meghan obtained her Master’s degree in Community Counseling at St. Xavier University. She completed a one year internship with extensive training in ACT and DBT where she provided individual DBT therapy to adults and adolescents struggling with eating disorders self-harm and substance abuse. She became a part of the DBT department in March 2010, and helped facilitate the structure of the current program.
