Our Mission

Eating Disorder Hope is an independent resource for eating disorder education, support, and provider discovery.

Our mission is to provide accurate, accessible, and compassionate information that helps individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals better understand eating disorders, explore recovery, and connect with appropriate resources and treatment providers.

We recognize that every recovery journey is unique. Our goal is to educate, inform, and support—not to replace individualized medical or mental health care.

Our Editorial Standards

Eating Disorder Hope publishes content intended to educate, inform, and support individuals and families affected by eating disorders.

Our content may include:

  • Educational articles
  • Recovery-oriented resources
  • Expert commentary
  • First-person perspectives
  • Interviews
  • Contributed content

We strive to present information in a responsible, respectful, and accessible way for a broad community that includes individuals, families, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, educators, and advocates.

Because eating disorders and recovery are complex, not every article will reflect the same perspective or approach. When appropriate, we publish diverse viewpoints and lived experiences while maintaining our commitment to recovery-oriented, evidence-informed content.

Accuracy and Medical Review

We strive to ensure that our content is accurate, clearly presented, and informed by current knowledge.

Depending on the topic, content may be:

  • Written by clinicians, researchers, or subject matter experts
  • Reviewed by qualified healthcare professionals
  • Updated to reflect meaningful changes in clinical guidance or available evidence

Whenever practical, we reference peer-reviewed research, established clinical guidance, government health agencies, and recognized professional organizations.

Health information continues to evolve. While we make every effort to keep our content current, we cannot guarantee that every article will always reflect the latest research or apply to every individual’s unique circumstances.

Nothing published on Eating Disorder Hope should be considered medical, psychological, or nutritional advice. Individuals should consult qualified healthcare professionals regarding their own care.

Contributors

Eating Disorder Hope welcomes contributions from clinicians, researchers, advocates, educators, caregivers, and individuals with lived experience.

Contributor content reflects the experience, expertise, or opinions of its individual author and should not be interpreted as representing the views or clinical approach of Eating Disorder Hope, Hopeful Media, or Within Health.
