Arizona Eating Disorder Treatment Centers

Eating Disorder Hope has put together a list of Arizona eating disorders treatment centers to help you or your loved one find the best eating disorder program for your situation.

Choosing a treatment center for an eating disorder can be one of the most important decisions you will ever make. A well-planned treatment program supported by a dedicated treatment team and on-site medical supervision can make the difference between continued struggles from anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder, or the start of recovery.

Our treatment center directory provides detailed information about each of these AZ eating disorder facilities and will quickly tell you:

  • Treatment Level The levels of care provided by the listed eating disorder clinic:
    • Residential Treatment
    • Hospital / Inpatient Treatment
    • Non-residential treatment for eating disorders
      • Commonly referred to as Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), they may be located at a residential eating disorder treatment center or an inpatient hospital
  • Types of Patients Served
    • Adolescents and / or Adults,
    • Men and / or Women
  • Therapies available: The core eating disorder therapies the facility uses; CBT, Medical Nutrition Therapy, DBT, etc.
  • Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders: Does the eating disorder center treat co-occurring disorders like depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders or bipolar disorder?
  • Payment Options: Whether insurance is accepted, and if Medicare / Medicaid are allowed

While most information in the eating disorders treatment center directory is provided by the facility, Eating Disorder Hope staff may augment the listings with additional detail when we deem it beneficial. Responsibility for the accuracy of the listing remains with the treatment provider.

Mirasol is a residential center dedicated to integrative treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating or binge eating disorder.

Our multidisciplinary treatment team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, doctors and dietitians who work closely with practitioners of alternative medicine, including neuro feedback, bodywork, acupuncture, and Oriental medicine, EMDR, somatic experiencing, equine therapy and adventure therapy.  Cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and effective alternative interventions form the foundation for successful treatment.

We offer residential treatment programs for teen girls and boys, ages 12 to 17 and for women 18 and up. Our Transformational Living Program (Partial Hospitalization Program) is an intensive day program.  Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is extremely effective.

Aftercare consists of Focused Continuing Care (FCC).  FCC is a unique aftercare program (developed by Betty Ford) that provides ongoing telephone counseling and support for a year after the client leaves treatment.  FCC is essential for long-lasting recovery and if clients follow the year-long aftercare program, 85% of them will be in recovery at one year.
