INTENSIVE PROGRAMS

Our Intensive Programs – intensive outpatient (IOP) and intensive day/partial hospitalization (IDP/PHP) programs provide regular, structured group and individual programming throughout the week for people with any eating disorder diagnosis. Ranging from 3 hours/3 days a week to 8-11 hours/5-7 days a week, we’ve designed our intensive programs to provide:

  • A step-up in support for someone needing intensive help to interrupt eating disorder symptoms
  • A step-down for those transitioning from a higher level of care
  • An ideal transition to aftercare treatment

PARTIAL plus LODGING

The Emily Program provides lodging options for clients who require a higher level of care but live a long distance from treatment.

Partial plus Lodging provides the intensity and structure of intensive treatment while providing opportunities to practice recovery outside of the controlled treatment environment in our lodging locations in Minneapolis, Seattle, Spokane, and St. Paul.

We believe treatment should be accessible and that recovery happens when individuals are able to practice recovery skills in real-life situations. Partial plus Lodging gives clients easy access to the treatment they need, coupled with a home-like environment where they can practice and reinforce recovery skills learned in intensive programming.

ADOLESCENT SERVICES

Emily Program Adolescents In Group DiscussionNo two teenagers are alike. Neither are their eating disorders. Our therapists, dietitians, and medical team are experts when it comes to helping adolescents – and their families – gain control over eating disorders by building a strong sense of self and other skills needed on the road to a whole and healthy adulthood.

We know that active involvement of the family is crucial to recovery. To promote recovery, we create a unique treatment plan to meet each client’s needs, incorporating family in every aspect.

For adolescents needing a higher level of care, we offer three (3) levels of intensive treatment to interrupt symptoms and help your child on the road to recovery.

Anna Westin House-Adolescent (AWHA) provides 24/7/365 care including physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, family therapists, art therapists, licensed school teachers, recreational therapists, nurses, eating disorders technicians, and more.

Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program/Intensive Day Program (PHP/IDP) provides treatment 5 days/week, 6 hours/day, plus school, studying or tutoring hours. Programming includes structured therapeutic meals, behavior exposure groups, and experiential challenges.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides treatment 4 days/week, 3 hours per day, with weekly family participation. Group-based intervention and therapeutic meals provide enhanced therapeutic support and symptom interruption.
