Douglas County Community Mental Health Center (CMHC)
Douglas County residents struggling with behavioral health issues can find help at the county's Community Mental Health Center. The program offers many types of care, including inpatient services, outpatient treatment, and cooperation with other county organizations, including the court system. Residents ages 19 and older can access treatment like medication management, crisis intervention, and psychiatric evaluation, among other types of care.
Mental Health Crisis Co-Responder Program – City of Omaha
The Omaha Police Department works with a mental health crisis co-responder to help the department appropriately deal with certain emergency or crisis situations. Along with emergency response, the co-responder can help with case management and with putting a patient and/or their family in touch with appropriate treatment centers or government departments.
Children's Nebraska – Eating Disorders Program
Children's Nebraska offers the only pediatric eating disorders program in the region, designed for children and adolescents up to age 21. A wide variety of help is available, including partial hospitalization programs and less-intensive outpatient care, with specific plans developed individually for each child's needs. Children's is also dedicated to involving family in the process, and offers other types of help, including nutritional education and early intervention programs.
