Eating disorders are mental health conditions that sometimes lead to mental health crises. In these cases, the Louisville Community Mental Health Services can help. The program is designed for crisis intervention, with a hotline and response team to help with immediate issues. Additional services are also available for longer-term care, including referrals to specialized care programs, counseling services, and other types of support.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services – Crisis Call Diversion Program
The Louisville Metro Emergency Services is a citywide hotline that helps individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Callers are guided through a series of questions, where trained staff determine the type of help that may serve them best, whether it be sustained support on the phone, direction to an appropriate program nearby, or dispatching a response team. The program is available 24/7 to all Louisville residents.
