Division of Behavioral Health – City of Indianapolis
Marion County's Division of Behavioral Health has several programs to help those in need. The Assessment and Intervention Center can help you get started, offering 24-hour assistance in finding resources and information about mental health services and nearby programs. Those in more immediate need of care can contact the Clinician-Led Community Response team, led by professionals from the Stepping Stones Therapy Center who provide short-term crisis care.
Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD)
The Marion County Public Health Department is responsible for all aspects of public and environmental health in the area. While they do not offer direct help with eating disorders, the department can help you or your loved one find resources or referrals to nearby programs, along with additional information on potentially related mental health concerns, such as substance use.
Charis Center for Eating Disorders – Riley Children's Health
For specific and extensive help with eating disorders, the Charis Center offers one of the most comprehensive treatment programs in Indiana. Personalized care plans can be created for patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and ARFID, among others, with levels of care ranging from inpatient to partial hospitalization to intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment. The center also specializes in several types of therapy, helping ensure a well-tailored experience.
