Connecticut Eating Disorders Treatment Centers

Eating Disorder Hope offers patients and families this list of eating disorders treatment centers in Connecticut. Choosing a treatment program for anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorders is one of the most difficult decisions a family will ever make.

A thoughtful treatment program supported by a focused treatment team and on-site medical care may make the difference between continued struggles with an eating disorder, or success in recovery.

It’s important to do your own research, and select the eating disorder clinic or treatment center that best matches your specific circumstances. Often, families find that the treatment center best suited for their loved one is located out-of-state, so it’s crucial to carefully research all of your treatment options.

Our treatment center directory provides detailed information about each of these CT eating disorder facilities and will quickly tell you:

  • Name, Location & Contact Information of the treatment center
  • Treatment Level- The levels of care provided by the listed eating disorder clinic:
    • Residential Treatment
    • Hospital / Inpatient Treatment
    • Non-residential treatment for eating disorders
      • Commonly referred to as Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), they may be located at a residential eating disorder treatment center or an inpatient hospital
  • Types of Patients Served-
    • Adolescents and / or Adults,
    • Men and / or Women
  • Therapies available- The core eating disorder therapies the facility uses; CBT, Medical Nutrition Therapy, DBT, etc.
  • Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders- Does the eating disorder center treat co-occurring disorders like depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders or bipolar disorder?
  • Payment Options- Whether insurance is accepted, and if Medicare / Medicaid are allowed

While most information in the eating disorders treatment center directory is provided by the facility, Eating Disorder Hope staff may augment the listings with additional detail when we deem it beneficial. Responsibility for the accuracy of the listing remains with the treatment provider.
