Brian Cook is a sought-after expert presenting his research at international conferences, chairing conference paper sessions focused on eating disorders and associated psychiatric illnesses, publishing his work in leading journals, and authoring several invited book chapters.
As the Vice President of Movement, Research, & Outcomes at Alsana, Brian works closely with Nicole Siegfried and Tammy Beasley to focus on developing the movement program. This innovative approach changes the functional relationship of exercise from a compensatory behavior to one that functions equally with other components of complete health.
Brian received his education at the University of Rhode Island, University of Florida, and the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute in Fargo, ND. His education has allowed him to train under leading experts in the eating disorder field.
These accomplishments in Brian’s career are evidence of his passion for improving the lives of individuals with eating disorders and his potential to continue to impact the field. Brian is currently an assistant professor at California State at Monterey Bay.
