The Victory Program Presents with ANAD – Off the Starting Blocks: Eating Disorder Prevention in Youth Sports
August 24 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT
Join The Victory Program at McCallum Place and ANAD for an upcoming FREE CE webinar, just in time for back-to-school sports.
Youth athletes are a unique population within the sport community. Their youthful passion and enthusiasm for sport matched with competitive, future-oriented goals make them a population that is both extraordinary and vulnerable. These athletes are excited to work hard and have fun; however, their joy for sport risks being tainted by some of the harmful aspects of sport culture.
Join McCallum Place and our friends at ANAD – National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders for a free CE session.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the types of eating disorders and their warning signs.
- Recognize the risk factors for eating disorders that are specific to athletes and the potential consequences of eating disorders.
- Describe the role of a coach in the prevention and treatment of eating disorders.
- Identify ways to effectively communicate and support your athletes in order to create well-being, safety, and sustainability in sport.
This presentation will offer one free CE Unit (participants will be eligible after attending live and passing the online post-test and completing the evaluation). Certificates will be sent out following the event. Anyone seeking CE credit must fill in all question fields on the registration page.
