Details: Educational Webinar Presented by Brooke Mathewes, MEd, LCPC a Faculty Lead at Timberline Knolls

As the world around us finds itself in a time of great change and uncertainty, clinicians tend to think of their clients first, often putting their own needs on the back burner.

Timberline Knolls and Brooke Mathewes, MEd, LCPC, are offering a workshop to support clinicians in developing strategies for coping with “quarantine life.” The workshop will include a focus on improving self-awareness of the impact of the pandemic in our own lives, and on working through new challenges that can arise in clinical conversations.

The workshop will include improving the understanding of the risks of compassion fatigue. With so many aspects of this ‘new normal’ that are out of our control, it can be helpful to know the places that we have power and influence. Our minds can be a source of anxiety, fear, worry and stress, but they can also be a great source of focus and strength.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Improve self-awareness and regulation of individual stress response
  2. Gain knowledge and understanding of how to maintain connection through virtual telehealth platforms
  3. Improve understanding about the risks of compassion fatigue and burnout
  4. Improve individual awareness of how to cope with and hopefully prevent provider burnout

We are offering 1.5 CE hours for live attendance.
