Remuda East is located in Milford, Virginia, in historic Caroline County, only 45 minutes from Fredericksburg and Richmond. Our intensive program provides age-appropriate treatment for women and girls with eating disorders. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan, implemented by a team of eating disorder professionals. In addition, we utilize a variety of innovative treatment strategies, including equine, art, body image and challenge course.
All treatment takes place in our non-institutional ranch settings on a 500-acre property. This area includes a 20-acre lake and vast forest land abundant with wildlife and equestrian trails. This peaceful, tranquil environment is exactly what hurting women and girls need to reflect, regain health and discover the inner strength required to face the task of recovery from an eating disorder.
In Bowling Green, only 20 minutes away, is our residential program, which offers transitional care between inpatient treatment and home. Our Emotional Eating Program is also located there, providing treatment to help those struggling with obesity, compulsive overeating and binge eating disorder.

With the ability to provide outpatient services, day treatment hospitalization, and inpatient hospitalization; we are with you every step of the way. We begin treatment with a comprehensive Eating Disorder Assessment and Evaluation, followed by a structured and individualized treatment plan.
Psychological testing is an important part of our evaluation process and helpful in identifying underling psychological concerns. We have expertise in working with self-injurious behavior, complicated mood disorders, ADHD, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, and personality disorders. Outpatient services include medication evaluation and monitoring, individual, family, couples, and group therapy, art therapy, nutritional counseling, and experiential therapy.
