With offices conveniently located both in NYC and in Scarsdale, NY, I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders of all kinds through individual, group and family therapy. I most always treat patients with a team approach; integrating the expertise of trusted physicians, nutritionists, psychiatrists, dieticians, etc as needed. I utilize a psychodynamic approach, as well as cognitive and behavioral techniques and tools to help patients build both insight and a range of practicable skills that will help them understand and resolve long-standing destructive behavior patterns, habits and coping skills. I served as the Director of the Renfrew Centers for Eating Disorders in NYC and in NJ for 5 years and remain on their Advisory Board. I am a member in good standing of The National Eating Disorders Assoc. (NEDA), The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), The American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) and The National Association of Social Work (NASW). My office hours are as flexible as possible and include evenings (and most Saturdays only in Scarsdale). While I do not participate in managed care networks, I will happily provide itemized statements for those who wish to submit for out-of-network benefits. In some cases, I offer reduced fees.
