In the early days, Remuda Ranch was exactly that: a ranch, with cowboys on horseback and cattle grazing as far as the eye could see. In the mid-1900s, it was converted into a dude ranch; visitors travel from all points of the globe to embrace the ranch experience.

In 1990, Remuda Ranch was transformed into a treatment facility for women and girls with eating disorders.

Remuda West is located in the small town of Wickenburg, Arizona, one hour northwest of Phoenix. It provides age-appropriate treatment for those with eating and anxiety disorders. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan, implemented by a team of top-notch professionals. In addition, we utilize a variety of innovative treatment strategies, including equine, art, body image and challenge course. All treatment takes place in our non-institutional ranch settings in the Sonoran desert. This area is defined by utter peace and tranquility -- exactly what hurting women and girls need to regain health and enter recovery.

One hour away is Remuda Life, residential program offering transitional care between inpatient treatment and home. This is also the location of our Emotional Eating Program, which is designed to help those struggling with obesity, compulsive overeating and binge eating disorder.
